How We Raise Funds
Everything we do is powered by our community. From sunrise stair climbs to black-tie balls, every event we run is designed to bring people together, raise awareness, and put funds directly into programs that make a real difference.

Stair-a-thon
What started as a personal journey to regain health after losing Conan has grown into one of our biggest annual events. Teams climb from sunrise to sunset at our local river stairs, with scouts cooking sausages, businesses sponsoring, and the community cheering us on. In 2025, the Stair-a-thon raised $35,400, all reinvested locally.
Annual Ball
Each year we host an intimate ball, always near water to honour Conan’s love of the surf. Ticket sales cover costs, while auction prizes donated by the community raise vital funds. With 150 to 200 guests, the ball is a celebration of connection, awareness, and joy. In 2026, we’ll gather at the iconic Fraser’s in Kings Park overlooking Perth’s river and skyline.
Treks
We trek to connect, challenge, and inspire. Each May, we join our friends from Cape to Cape Explorer Tours for the breathtaking Cape to Cape walk. For those seeking a greater challenge, we take on ambitious treks like Karijini and Nepal. These journeys raise funds, build friendships, and remind us what resilience really looks like.
Quiz Nights
Our annual quiz night brings together laughter, friendly competition, and a strong sense of community. With generously donated prizes and enthusiastic teams, the evening offers a fun and relaxed environment where people can connect and enjoy themselves. It’s an enjoyable way to raise important funds while also building awareness and support for mental health within the community.
Community Fundraisers
Some of our most meaningful support comes from people in the community who choose to fundraise in their own way. From the JR Russo Choir singing carols at local shopping centres, to Roar Gym hosting marathons that raised over $1,000 in 30 minutes, to an individual head shave that brought in $2,400. Local businesses also contribute prizes and auction items, proving that every effort adds up.
